After nearly 50 years of trade, Southampton based TEPE Group – trading as Working Environments Ltd has ceased trading.
The M&E specialist experienced cash flow issues caused by rising supply chain costs and a payment dispute on a major contract with Willmott Dixon.
Despite having a pre-tax profit of £1.4m in the Sep ’21 accounts and a forward order book of £31m, an administrator is set to be appointed imminently.
This is the latest in a long line of failures in the stricken M&E sector, and as we move towards the Christmas months, its likely there will be a lot more to come in Q1.
